ABRASIVE TOOLS FOR BRUSHING CERAMIC TILES
At the end of the kilning process, brushing is often required with the aim of reducing the roughness of the surface or to clean its surface of lumps, powder or other elements that could falsify its reading during the selection process.
In the first case, when you want to modify the surface touch, non-woven fabric utensils with silicon carbide abrasives or aluminium-oxide abrasives are used. In the second case, white non-woven fabric utensils without abrasives are used. The utensils used for this type of working can be of a cylindrical shape or cup wheels.

DIMENSIONS OF THE ABRASIVE ROLLERS
The range of utensils for this type of use is composed of rollers with an external diameter of 150mm and 50mm hole as well as, in smaller quantities, with wheels with an external diameter of 200mm and 76/80mm hole. The length is variable and customizable. The maximum speed for 150mm wheels is 3200rpm and the maximum speed for 200mm wheels is 2500rpm.
WHEEL DENSITY
The density of a wheel depends on the quantity of flap contained therein. With a constant density, the number of flap can vary according to the type of material. With a constant pressure, the lamellae of a soft wheel flex more than those of a greater density. Therefore, a more flexible flap leaves a longer mark upon the worked surface in respect to those that work with the tip.
